History of AW Promotions

AW Promotions was started in 1993 in Princeton, New Jersey. Abigail Wrenn earned her Bachelor of Arts in Music degree from Westminster Choir College as a nontraditional student. Upon graduating she started a promotions company designed to help other graduates of Westminster begin their performance careers. She realized that getting from point A to point B was a needed service for the professional performer since most musicians are busy with rehearsals and do not have time to invest in marketing. Working with her clients over a period of months she creates a product for the marketplace. Armed with photos, bios, brochures, promotional CDs, current concert reviews and letters of introduction, each client is then able to look for/find the job of her/his choice. In the year 2000 AW Promotions began to move into international promotions as concert coordinator for the Kyiv Symphony Orchestra and Chorus. Her promotional CDs are systematically being repackaged for the retail market and are now available in the marketplace at such stores as Barnes and Noble, Borders, Westminster Music and Books and other independent record stores.

Abigail also represents her artists at various conferences throughout the United States exhibiting their works from coast to coast. She has been an exhibitor at WCC, SSGPA, NJMTA, ACDA, NYSTA, NATS, and AMPPR. aka. Westminster Choir College, Steinway Society of the Greater Princeton Area, New Jersey Music Teachers Association, American Choral Directors Association, New York Singing Teachers Association, National Association of Teachers of Singing, and the Association of Music Personnel in Public Radio. AW Promotions is operated under a sole proprietorship and is not a management firm. She has a very high respect for artistic achievement and believes that the classically trained musician plays a major role in the quality of life in our culture.
